nature fun with little ones

Foster a lifelong connection to the natural world during the most formative stages of development. Specifically designed for our youngest explorers and their caregivers, this program is held on the first Friday of every month at the Nature Center.

Each session is a curated journey through seasonal storytelling, sensory-based play, and gentle discovery, making the wonders of Lowell Park accessible to small hands and curious minds. Whether we are investigating the intricate textures of the forest floor or identifying the vibrant palette of our wildflower gardens, every activity is centered on "cultivating a love for nature" through play.

This program is proudly hosted by the Master Gardeners of the University of Illinois Extension, bringing expert botanical knowledge to a relaxed, family-centered educational setting.
