Join the Lowell Forest Restoration Volunteer Team
Together, we are working to preserve this rare Grade B upland forest community and with your help, bring it to Grade A status!
Why the Forest Needs You
Lowell Forest is a unique ecological treasure. By volunteering, you directly support a habitat that features:

Rare Dolomite Cliffs: Supporting 84 distinct plant species, including the rare black-seeded rice grass.

Old-Growth Trees: Home to towering northern red oaks over three feet in diameter.

Protected Species: Supporting state-endangered butternut trees.
What You'll Learn:
Work alongside experts to identify and control aggressive invasive species like bush honeysuckle, buckthorn, and garlic mustard.
